As the AWOL Core Team, we have met and sought God concerning AWOL 2011, we have reached the decision that everyone involved in AWOL needs to spend this year regrouping, seeking God, and building teams and momentum to continue in the way that God would have us continue. This means that there will not be a camp in 2011.
Please don't get us wrong!! The AWOL Core Team is NOT taking a years break. Please see this as a purposeful pause and not a throwing in of the towel. We know that some teens will experience some disappointment, but we would like to say that 2012 is going to be worth the wait and will make an even greater impact!
There is great enthusiasm and excitement around AWOL and what God is doing in the lives of teens, churches and the community. So, please hold up the leadership of AWOL in prayer and ask God’s help to build the teams and to give strategy and fresh vision for His plans for AWOL.
AWOL is an awesome tool in the hands of God and the Team feels that it is under His directive that we need this year to refocus and rethink every area of AWOL to ensure that God’s purposes are fulfilled and that the impact and momentum of AWOL will be more effective and sustainable.
As we obey God in pausing purposefully, we trust in Him for greater measure in every way for AWOL in the future. We believe we will look back in years to come at 2011 and thank God for the building that took place in us.
Trusting in Him who is faithful to complete that which He began...
We are blessed that He has given us all we need for life and for Godliness...
